I am a Ramón y Cajal research fellow working at the Dep. Ecología, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Madrid (Spain). I have broad interests in island biogeography, community ecology, ecosystem functioning and entomology.

I study the factors and processes causing community assembly on different regions, but I have focused most of my work on island faunas.

I am also interested on the spatial variation in community structure of different taxa, looking at taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity at different scales. My most recent research line focuses on the impact of global change on diversity and ecosystem functioning.

Please explore the rest of the website to get more insights on the work I am developing together with the BioNCCE group

DUNGPOOL project has started! Three years of funding to understand the effect of climate change, pool diversity and local diversity on ecosystem functioning
